Tinkering Labs is based on 15 years of tinkering experience with thousands of kids in our San Francisco school and camps. Our products are made from real wood, real motors, & real hardware. They are designed in California and are the perfect hands-on gift for young inventors ages 8 to 12.

How did we get our start?

In 2005, we started a camp where kids get challenges such as “build a wood roller coaster big enough to ride.” We learned that when kids are trusted with a real-world challenge and their own ideas, they can do more than they think they can.
